During each round, spend your available gold on buildings and roads that expand your city. Building tiles must fit within your developing layout, and the benefits they provide help improve your economy. A good purchase should contribute to your resources while leaving useful space for what you hope to build next.

Wonders introduce a different kind of planning. Each has placement requirements that you must satisfy before adding it to your city, making nearby terrain, roads and buildings part of a larger puzzle. Claiming a wonder uses your remaining gold for the round, so timing the purchase means weighing an immediate landmark against further development.
