Keep the lowest total in your row of cards, even though some of those cards are hidden from you. Rat-a-Tat Cat is a family card game of memory, deduction and knowing when you have improved your hand enough to end the round.

Players begin with face-down cards and limited information about their values. On a turn, draw a card and decide whether to keep it, swap it into your row or use its special effect. Helpful action cards can let you peek at a hidden card or trade positions, changing what you know about your own row.

Remembering what you saw is important, but it is not the only challenge. A swap may replace a good card with something worse, and another player could be closer to a low score than they seem. Calling the end of the round is a risk if your hidden cards are not as strong as you hoped.

Rat-a-Tat Cat suits families who enjoy approachable numbers and a dash of uncertainty. Its compact deck travels easily and the short rounds give everyone a chance to revise a strategy. The satisfying moment is remembering exactly which hidden card needs to go before somebody else calls time.
