Insider (EN)

Everyone is searching for the same answer—but someone at the table already knows it. Insider combines a quick guessing game with the suspicion and bluffing of hidden-role games, turning helpful questions into potential evidence.

The group has five minutes to uncover a secret word by questioning the game master, who can respond with “yes,” “no,” or “I don’t know.” Hidden among the players is the Insider, who knows the answer and must gently steer the conversation toward it. Help too little and everyone risks losing; help too obviously and the secret may be exposed.

Finding the word is only the first challenge. Once the answer is revealed, the group reviews the conversation and tries to identify who was guiding it. Was that perfectly timed question a lucky guess, or did someone know more than they should?

Insider suits groups that enjoy talking, reading one another and defending their suspiciously good ideas. Its short playing time makes it easy to fit between longer games or play several times as different people take on the hidden role. The rules provide the framework; your friends supply the misdirection.
