Codenames XXL: Second Edition (EN)

Gather a larger table around the familiar contest of secret agents and one-word clues. Codenames XXL: Second Edition presents the updated word game with oversized components, making the shared grid easier to see when players spread out around the table.

One spymaster on each team can see which words hide friendly agents, bystanders and the dangerous assassin. Offer a one-word clue with a number, then let your teammates debate which words you meant. Correct guesses move your team forward; a poor choice can help the opposition or bring the round to an abrupt end.

The oversized cards change the table experience without changing the central puzzle. A clue that appears obvious to one person may make somebody else see an entirely different connection. Deciding when the team has guessed enough is part of the game, especially when one uncertain word could undo a promising lead.

This is a complete game suited to gatherings that want a clearly visible display and plenty of conversation. The second edition refreshes the underlying Codenames presentation and word selection. It rewards imaginative clue giving, careful listening and the pleasure of discovering that your teammates found the exact link you hoped they would.
