Guide a civilization from its beginnings to the modern age in Through the Ages: A New Story of Civilization. Rather than placing cities on a map, you develop a nation through cards representing leaders, technologies, buildings, wonders and military strength.

Each era offers opportunities from a shared card row. Choose what your people will learn or build, then spend limited actions and resources to bring those plans into effect. An advance can improve food, production, science or culture, but your population and economy must support the ambition behind it.

Culture decides the eventual winner, yet a nation cannot ignore the other systems. A weak military may invite aggression; too little food or production can slow an otherwise promising engine. Leaders and events shift the options as the ages pass, requiring you to adapt rather than rely on one fixed sequence.

This is an involved strategy game for players who enjoy long-term planning and watching choices compound over several eras. Its card-driven history creates different civilizations at each table.
